Regular customer Steve Woodley recent sent us a report on his angling on the challenging Great Ouse so in his own words, Here's how Steve's been getting on.
Having first tried the Bankside Team Barbel baits in January 2010 when I purchased your Barbel Combo, I was rewarded a couple of weeks later with a 14lb+ fish from the Great Ouse. At the time I wrote to thank you for a great service and the fine bait you had supplied so I just thought I'd drop you another line and let you know of some recent catches on the Team Barbel Nuggets .
Steve got off the mark on the Ouse with this 11lb barbel
Having struggled on the Great Ouse last season only managing 2 barbel all year (one of which was caught on your nuggets) I was expecting another series of blanks again this season so I was rather chuffed to catch a 11lb 1oz barbel a couple of weeks ago. Returning a week later I was again rewarded with a fine 9lb barbel, and having already caught as many barbel out of the Ouse this season as I did all of the year before, I was resonably happy with my start.

Returning again for a short session the week after the 9lb barbel I was quickly into a 6lb 1oz chub on my first cast. I was more than happy with the result but things would get even better before I called it a day. I fished a couple more swims to no avail until settling in another swim for a last cast. Not long after casting out my broken down nugget with a small PVA bag of half a dozen crushed Team Barbel Nuggets hooked on, I was soon attached to an angry fish that tried extremely hard not to see the inside of my landing net. After I had finally managed to land the fish I was pleasantly surprised to watch my scales head up to 13lb to make it 3 fine barbel in as many weeks and one extremely happy angler.
