With an increasing number of barbel anglers tackling the deeper and faster flowing rivers, Wychwood felt the need to produce a rod specifically designed to deal with demanding conditions rivers such as these can throw up.

Made from high grade, multi modulus carbon, both rods have full length cork handles fitted with Fuji reel seats. Good casting potential combined with plenty of fighting power ensure these rods can tame the largest of Barbel, but at the same time the super sensitive tip offers maximum bite indication in all conditions and completes the perfect barbel fishing rod.

Both Maximiser Barbel rods come with two tip sections. The 12' version is supplied with 1.75lb and 2lb test curve tips, while the 13' has a 2lb and 2.5lb tip.
